Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder and condition. It is a signaling confusion in a person's brain. Although autism is a spectrum disorder, it cannot be described as a disease. It usually begins to show symptoms at an early age and causes the person to have problems in social interactions, lack of communication and repetitive movements.
